Where have I been? No, I'm asking you becauseI have no idea...It's all a blur!
Hi there! Once again, focusing a lot on Facebook. I'm just so comfortable with it. I need to pick this blogging thing up and run with it. Getting a new computer, hopefully next week, and it will be faster and have more bells and whistles...so I'm hoping that will inspire me to play a little more. I work on a dinosaur PC now. Oh yeah.... I've also been busy working on some furniture. I also moved into a 6700 sq ft warehouse. That has been a job. I have no idea where I put all the furniture around the house (oh yeah, around the house is where I put it...literally). It has taken me a month and a half to move it all because I also had to continue to work. I finally hired some moving help and that was one of the smarter decisions I made. He moved all the big stuff or things that would not fit in the back of my SUV. Thankfully the shop is only 8 minutes from my house so there was not a lot of time on the road. Business is good..hills and valleys like any other business I guess. I moved to the warehouse because my homeowners insurance company said..."Uh, no!' So, now I pay rent. Ugh! But it's a great rental rate for the amount of space I have. I rent a little spot of it to a girl I buy furniture from sometimes and I hope to start classes soon to help pay the rent. Little nervous about that...well, a lot nervous about that but that's how most things start out! I'm posting a picture of my latest project. It is for sale. Not a special order. Hope you like it and I'll try to get back on the blog a lot more often!

This is one of my newer pieces. It is a solid wood hooded chest of drawers.
I did the base color in Tropical Seas which really looks like turquoise blue. I then washed white over it and heavily distressed it. Next I drilled new holes and put on new turquoise enamel/porcelain knobs.
I put a diamond shape, then a flower shape and vice versa.. Liked to mix it up a bit.
When I say heavy distressing, I mean it.
I loved working on this. I love the hooded portion. It's a very unusual piece. It is going to be used at a preschool, which I think is precious, as well as smart. No worries about a scratch or two which is bound to happen at a preschool!

New Additions!
I have made a decision... I am going to become an expert blogger...just don't know when. LOL. I'm going to try to devote a little time everyday to reading my Bible and working on my blog. Starting with the Bible first and then we will see how this blogging thing goes! Trying to create a habit. But, here are some of the things I have been working on since I last made an entry. Little note....on the blue console...I am going to paint the inside doors...just ran out of paint and wanted to get a picture while it was overcast. For some reason my colors come out better on my camera if it is overcast outside... I am not a photographer. After I master blogging I think I will work on my photography skills. Also, the pink Cinderella vanity was a donated piece I made exclusively for the 2012 Gala for Children - Cinderella: Rock the Ball event held out at Kyle and Patty Petty's farm. I'm told a lot of women came in ball gowns and had their pictures made at the vanity. They says they will send me pictures of this... when I get them I will post them. I can't wait to see that. They took my picture beside it when I dropped it off. Let's just say that will stay for my eyes only. Definitely was not in a ball gown or expecting to get my picture made. LOL.

Still Trying To Get The Hang of This BLOGGING Thing!
I don't blog often so each time I come here I have to retrain myself on what I need to do. I'm sure I am really missing out on the benefits of blogging....but right now I'm in ignorant bliss! I know I am following several blogs, but it looks as if I am only following one. I have no idea how that happened. My only guess is that I am following all of them as ME, Angie...and the one listed that I am following is being followed asby Full Circle. Who knows? Not me. Any way... going to post more pics of items I have been working on. Most are sold or were special orders.
One new thing to report- I think it's pretty exciting. I have been asked to donate a piece to a benefit silent auction for Randolph Partnership for Kids at the Kyle Petty Farm. I'm very excited. There is a Cinderella theme. I am donating a vanity. I"m thinking it will be a soft pink and I will line the drawers with black and white brocade fabric and the vanity stool I am getting to go with it has twisted wrought iron legs like ice cream parlor chairs. I will put the black and white brocade on the seat and pad and tuft it. The knobs will also have a black and white brocade print on them as well... At least that is the plan right now...I'm a woman... I may change my mind! LOL.
Back soon with more to post.......
